The Indianapolis shooting hit me the hardest in last week’s terrible, awful news week.
It was a terrible example of what has become a relatively common racial attack in this country. Anti-Sikh violence is only reported in the context of mass shootings, but it’s been quite common for the past 20 years.
And that breaks my heart. Over, and over, and over again.
“The frame of reference of what constitutes hate needs to change faster. At the end of the day, hate is winning out because we’re not moving fast enough.”
