On anti-Sikh violence, the Brujas of Brooklyn, and Afghan women making peace
The Indianapolis shooting hit me the hardest in last week’s terrible, awful news week.
It was a terrible example of what has become a relatively common racial attack in this country. Anti-Sikh violence is only reported in the context of mass shootings, but it’s been quite common for the past 20 years.
And that breaks my heart. Over, and over, and over again.
