I know we’re all tired of the ‘look, another critical part of society damaged by COVID for years to come’ stories.
But we can’t look away. We have to keep reading and taking action. Who else will?
The damage to our food supply chain is catastrophic, and it’s finally started to get some press. Basic groceries’ prices are increasing as unemployment benefits expire, and it’s heartbreaking.
If you can, please donate to World Central Kitchen. They are distributing fresh meals and food boxes in the most vulnerable neighborhoods all over the country.
And if anyone knows someone at the USDA, please ask them to create a landing page for American families to find the nearest location to collect a Farmers To Families Box. It’s a smart program, but needs much clearer communication to the people who need it the most.
