Auto supply chain still sputtering (Axios)
Automobile manufacturing was an interesting economic barometer during the pandemic - the chips made for most automobiles are less complicated ones with fewer manufacturers, each car requires so many parts manufactured by different suppliers globally, managing margins at the manufacturer level and dealer level.
The pandemic’s impact on auto supply has been significant, and at all parts of the supply chain. I have a feeling that stabilization of supply will match the virus’ inevitable transition to an endemic.
How quickly or slowly either of those things happen is anyone’s guess.
