#5SmartReads - January 5, 2021
Today’s reads are curated by a returning contributor! We asked Marisa Hamm-Malanowski some questions, here are her answers:
Q: What Google alerts do you have turned on?
A: I have Google alerts set on all of my clients as well as on a handful of companies I'm eyeing to invest in. I recently started investing for myself outside of my 401(k) and while it's not making me a lot of money (so far!) it has been a lot of fun."
Q: If you could interview any person, dead or alive, who would it be?
A: Jackie Kennedy - I have a longstanding fascination with her and her family going back to a high school assignment to write an essay as an historic figure.
Q: How many times did you move as a child?
A: I grew up in Colorado. My family moved houses a few times but we always stayed in the same city, so my childhood home is more broadly that area and not a specific house. It's funny now though because I've been in Kansas City almost as long as I was ever in CO, and KC feels more like home to me.
