Democrats' spending flip-flop (Axios)
The flip-flop aside (honestly, both parties do it and I just shrug it off now), I’m excited to see big spending bills use dynamic scoring in addition to relying on traditional deficit spending when Congress is figuring out the ‘how do we pay for it?’ question.
But I also am a little wary.
I would like to see some kind of standardization when dynamic scoring the budget or spending bills. At a micro-scale, we’ve been able to see a positive return on investment in social programs (like early education).
Like everything else in the world, it’s not perfect.
