If you see ‘medical freedom advocate’ or ‘health freedom activist’ written in someone’s Instagram profile, take caution.
It’s the clever new moniker for anti-vaxxers and anti-mask wearing advocates, and pushers of other debunked conspiracies and misinformation that is putting our society in serious danger. Especially on a platform like Instagram, where following and engaging with one will have the platform recommending that you follow more.
Wear a mask. Audit who you’re following on social media. Wash your hands frequently. And spend less time on the Internet, in general.
