AS IF I COULD NOT LOVE COSTCO MORE.
But in all seriousness, there are areas where the private sector is able to drive more value than government entities when it comes to healthcare, and on the magnitude of billions of dollars.
This is one of my very real criticisms of Medicare For All. Too often, the government is not the most effective or value-driven agency when it comes to healthcare costs and outcomes. There’s a lot that can be done between the government and the private sector, and there’s one more pressing issue we need to center healthcare reform on:
