The first thing I thought when I read this headline was “can he even do this?”

He can. But will Governor Abbott actually do it?

We have until June 20th to fine out.

For as fascinating as it is to see politicking like this in real-time and stretching the limits of a state’s constitution, it also deeply depresses me as someone who believes in the promise and potential of the United States. I’m feeling a lot of feelings about this.
