New bipartisan bill takes aim at algorithms (Axios)
Isn’t it wonderful when we can come together on important issues?
Like, algorithms on social platform and enabling users to OPT OUT (which, if I understand this properly, will allow us to return to the much desired chronological news feed).
It has support from Republicans and Democrats in both chambers of Congress, and two of the bills sponsors (Ken Buck of Colorado and David Cicilline of Rhode Island) have worked together to get 6 antitrust bills out of the House Judiciary committee earlier this year.
