Today’s #5SmartReads contributor is Kate Slater! Kate Slater, Ph.D. (also known around these parts as Dr. Kate) is a racial justice scholar, higher education administrator, and professor.

By day, she works in graduate student affairs and teaches courses on the history of race and racism as well as present-day issues in K-12 education, and by night, she facilitates conversations on anti-racism, Critical Race Theory, whiteness, and white supremacy.
