Unpacking Joe Biden's decision to tap John Kerry as his climate envoy (Axios)
It probably comes to no surprise to you that Biden’s first Cabinet announcements is like my Super Bowl., Real Housewives reunion, and new season of The Crown rolled into one. I am a giant nerd and openly admit it.
I will also admit that I didn’t see a climate envoy within the National Security Council coming. But I really like it, and I really like John Kerry in this role.
Time will tell just how effective this appointment will be. But I do hope it signals the importance of acknowledging the threat of climate change, domestically and internationally, and how we work and lead on this front.
