We are all struggling right now. And Marisa’s words are a balm to my shattered nerves and rising anxious feelings. Especially these:
“Because of the work that I do, I know we are both grieving. We grieve separately and together for the routines we each had, that we didn’t realize were sacred. For the family and friends we don’t get to see. For the plans we had for 2020. It’s heavy and it’s hard, and I’m here to tell you that if you’re like us and have lots to be grateful for, but still find yourself struggling right now, that’s OK. In the midst of managing all of the uncertainty in our individual lives and in the world right now (hello upcoming election), it is OK to not feel quite like yourself.”
