I love a detailed DITL. I also love when the ideal day fantasy matches closely with the reality. This past Sunday was a normal one for us, and also one of my favorite ones ever. Here’s how I wanted it to go (detailed in last weekend’s newsletter), and how it actually went.
I want to sip my coffee in bed while journaling and scrolling through my Instagram and Substack feeds, before getting in this Peloton ride.
I woke up around 6:30 to use the bathroom, and I couldn’t fall back asleep. I took my thyroid medication, checked my emails and scrolled through Instagram & Substack, and picked up my Kindle to read for a bit. Rhaki tiptoed into our room around 7, snuggling sweetly for a few minutes before he began jumping off the walls. Rho woke up shortly after, and the boys tumbled to the family room to watch TV for a bit. They inexplicably chose Hop, a movie Rhaki used to be obsessed with and eventually drove us crazy. As a would be Easter Bunny and James Marsden bantered, I slipped on my Apple Watch and did a 10 minute morning meditation with
