I’m fairly unhinged and incapable of talking about anything besides the Eagles, which I will spare you from.
(But if you want some good Birds juju, here’s my Eagles hype playlist and my story on being an Eagles fan).
My week was fairly chill. Besides the usual work and meetings (and getting in a full week of workouts), I went down to our PA home for a fun shoot with our designers, got to speak with one of my favorite authors, and filmed something that I can’t wait to share very soon (follow to be the first to know).

This American Woman: A One-In-A-Billion Memoir
by Zarna Garg
(publish date: April 29)
Rarely does a book make me laugh, cry, take 5 pages of notes, and leaves me feeling incredibly patriotic.
But rarely does a person like Zarna Garg come along.
This is one of the best books I’ve read this year (a bold statement to make in February, but one I stand by). Zarna’s story is incredible, yes, but the lessons she shares about building a life, a family, and a career with purpose.
I’m recommending this book before its publication date because it’s that good. Zarna’s own voice is so engaging that I recommend preordering the audiobook, and a physical copy if you love to mark up your books (because you will mark up this one).
You can find my recent reads here, and this month’s reads here.
Chantelle Soft Stretch Seamless Briefs ($48 for 3)
I’ve been on the hunt for new seamless, comfortable underwear since Okko closed its doors - and I think I’ve finally found them. These one-size undergarments magically fit my fluctuating midsection and insanely comfortable.

What is a Legal Coup? ()
Is anyone else feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, and terrified by the news?
If you are, I’m glad you’re here. And, same.
One of the people I seek out when politics is wilder than normal is Emily Amick. She unpacks the news, offers the necessary context, and gives you clear actions to give you a useful alternative to doomscrolling.
Watching a coup unfold before our eyes has me wanting to crawl back into bed for the foreseeable future. It is terrifying - the barrage of blatantly illegal executive orders, the ‘in a normal world, would be disqualifying’ confirmation hearings for cabinet secretaries, and the seizure of government assets and data by someone who aspires to outshine every comic book villain combined.
Emily compares Hitler’s two coup attempts (one unsuccessful, the other…well, you know) to what we see happening in real time.
Don’t put down your phone. Don’t hide under the covers. I want you read - and believe - Emily’s words:
“Democracy is currently intact. We have an independent judiciary. We have a functioning, albeit Republican Congress. We have a business sector that does not want economic collapse. Federalism serves as perhaps the biggest bulwark, there’s no ‘martial law’ capacity that allows the President to single handedly control all law enforcement in America.”
I need to heed her last two actions (post more regularly about this administration’s actions that will affect me, and build more community around practicing citizenship).
I’ll be living in this sweet sweatshirt all week (after today, of course), and would not mind opening this up on Valentine’s Day.
Some excellent advice from Zoe Saldaña.
I had no clue that the Eagles cheerleaders’ uniforms came from such a famous atelier.
These winter sneaker/boots have been going strong for 3 years now.
Is anyone else following Onijah Robinson’s adventure in Pakistan? I can’t get enough.
I don’t think we talk enough about AJ Brown (an Eagles wide receiver), a man who reads this book on the sidelines (where it became a #1 NYT best-seller the following week), talks openly about mental health, and risked a fine for wearing pink cleats (so his daughter can spot him on the field).
