'it's almost a meal' smoothie
(and perimenopause friendly)
Out of respect to the chefs and food creators I know, I will never call these a recipe. They are general instructions for the things I make frequently, hence a recipe-ish.
This is my tried-and-true “I’m hungry and don’t want to cook” recipe. It’s filling, energizing, and can be consumed hands-free while I scroll through Instagram read a book on my Libby or Kindle app. I like to pair this with a bowl of cereal with a tablespoon of chia seeds added to it.
530 calories - 36 grams of protein - 13 grams of fiber - 60 grams of carbs - 19 grams of fat
Ingredients
1 cup of frozen mixed berries
1 cup of frozen spinach
1 cup of 2% milk
water (based on your preference)
2 scoops of Orgain chocolate protein powder
I use the Our Place blender, and drink the smoothie straight out of the jar with this straw.
Directions
in your blender jar, add the Blender Bomb, berries, and milk. Blend until smooth.
add frozen spinach, protein powder, and water until it covers both ingredients. Blend again.
