the multi-hyphenate playbook
start here (and return when you're ready for the next step)
I’ve been calling myself a multi-hyphenate for over 10 years. It’s the one title that has always worked, even as my other titles have changed over the years.
What started as a personal identifier has grown into a new reframe of leadership, especially among women. We are building a new economy—one rooted in fractional work, flexibility, and power pauses. Rather than forcing ourselves into systems that haven’t worked for us (by design), we’re building one where everyone can thrive.
Every single one of us is a multi-hyphenate. Few of us introduce ourselves as such, or intentionally build our lives to truly own the roles we have and want to have.
I refuse to shrink myself for the comfort of others. You shouldn’t either.
This is my personal playbook on how to embrace your multi-hyphenated identity. Here are the tools I use, the books I recommend, and resources created by fellow multi-hyphenates that I recommend.
My goal with Hyphenated by Hitha is to help you live your best life, on your terms. Every post I publish is to help make you smarter (#5SmartReads), stronger (my monthly wellness plans), and more successful (swipe files). I also share the ups and downs of my own life with my weekend newsletter and my health journey. Your support means the world to me. Thank you for your subscriptions (all of them) and for sharing my work with your circles. If budget permits, I would be so appreciative of your paid support of my work.

This playbook is incredable! The task-time list concept totally changed how I manage my difrent roles, especially when I'm juggling creative projects with day-to-day stuff. I love how you reframe multi-hyphenate life as building a new economy rather than just 'doing too much'. Your focus on protecting energy while owning all your roles really hits different.
thanks for the shoutout for The Spark Society! xx
