My superior who fits the description (and is now pushing for rto) said he “just can’t wait to get back to the way things used to be” so in other words, so we can exert more control over your working lives like we used to. I’m in accounting, so we rarely have video calls and mostly sort things out via email (better paper trail!) and then rely on the phone if we need to talk something through. If anything, rto means an acceleration for me to find a new remote job.
