I identify as Latina, because my primary identify is as a woman. However, I find it more inclusive to use and see Latinx or Latine when referring to the majority community. But, also would love to normalize asking groups or people what identity they align with most. I think everyone has the right to use and see whatever feels safest.

Loved the read about Wade Bryant helping Lizzo with her flexibility! I'm trying to move away from weight centric health goals, which is why I'm redefining my success metrics to feeling flexible and strong by doing certain moves (push ups, handstand). The Axios article about "Latinx" was really surprising. I was under the impression "Latinx" was more widely used within the community than the research shows.

I spend a lot of time thinking about the insurrection. Truly a pivotal event for our nation but so buried by collective compounded trauma its weight is like a toe stub instead of an amputation.

Still feel shaken by the insurrection. I feel like I (and maybe a lot of us collectively?) lost an innocence that day that can't be regained.
