I’m not a morning person, but I’ve taken to morning movement. I only started regularly teleworking recently, and I needed something to fill in my morning so I wasn’t rolling out of work and right to my desk, and someone recommended building out a routine to function as a transition. I get up and wash my face/brush my teeth, stretch for 15/20 minutes, meditate for 10 (which is also new), turn on my morning news podcasts while I make tea/get dressed/make breakfast. The whole thing takes about an hour, and I don’t manage it every day, but I notice that I just feel better and more ready for the insanity on days I do.
