I love this -- my parents claim they didn't raise competitive children, but we definitely all are. I find most of mine comes these days prompted by my other eldest daughter tendency: disappointing people. I constantly have to remind myself that "more for them doesn't mean less for me" and that we don't really know what's going on in people's lives, especially when all you "see" is what the present. Thanks for a timely reminder.
The self-competitive eldest daughter mindset is so real. What's given me some peace is knowing it's never a destination. but a journey through intentional practice (and giving myself a lot of grace when I fall into the competition trap of my own making)
I needed this uncompete reminder today!! Comparison is the thief of joy but I too have been doing it a lot lately. The 40s have been liberating in so many ways but there are tiny dregs of this behavior that crop up every once in a while since I'm single and in this ridiculous journalism industry and also wasn't on the Diwali party circuit. But, my life isn't that bad! I also grew in a thankfully uncompete home and the decade so far has just me getting back to some of that, I think
Love this top to bottom 💙 (and yes to thinking clearer in the sky 🌌).
Adore you so much!

Love this! You convinced me to sign up for Hallmark + so now ready for the recommendations 😊
It's my favorite streaming platform! My dad and I are halfway through the first season of Mistletoe Murders and it's so good.
I needed this reminder today as I head back to work from maternity leave.
I'm so glad it resonated with you! Sending you all the lucky wishes for a smooth transition back to work.

I think we need to have another girls' dinner where we go around and tell each other how much we respect and value one another (and ask/offer help!)
