In January, I started drinking coffee regularly for the first time... ever. The process of prepping my cold brew every few days, and then making each morning's cup has been such a joyous little routine. I've also been finding joy and peace in my *incredible* new apartment, and am excited to continue establishing my best routines in this new space.
January has been a whirlwind, ending now with husband/younger son catching COVID. Despite the challenge of prioritizing never-ending workload, isolating/caretaking, etc., I've been able to maintain physical activity every day, be intentional about cooking and baking, and actually read, at least a little, most days. Each of those things is a little boost and makes me more present for everyone else. Also, really getting into BTS' older songs when I need a quick energy burst!
I LOVE this sentiment so much. I’ve found myself doing the same thing - staying present by focusing on little daily joys. It helps stop me from thinking too far ahead and getting worried about all of the uncertainty of life. For me it’s my morning coffee with my favorite seasonal creamer - Califia Farms peppermint mocha almond milk creamer!
